Employee PF withdrawal in ITR

11 September 2025 Dear Sir
Our earlier employee left service in FY 2023-24 & received his EPF balance in FY 2024-25
he left his service after 10 continuous employment years
TDS was also deducted

During FY 2024-25 he only have interest income from sb account and this EPF receipt
How to show the same in ITR

11 September 2025 Declare the EPF withdrawal amount under Schedule Exempt Income, Section 10(11).
Show savings account interest under “Income from Other Sources”—
Check Form 26AS/AIS for any TDS details; enter these in Schedule TDS of the return.
No tax is payable on EPF received after 5 years of service; only disclosure in ITR is required.
Interest income from the savings bank account should be reported as “Income from Other Sources”. TDS refund may be claimed if deducted erroneously.
