Is it compulsory to upload pdf file of Tax Audit Report along with Balance Sheet and P & L A/c while efiling income tax return ?

I am asking about pdf file of Form 3cb, 3cd.
The xml version is being uploaded and client confirms the same
Then also pdf file is compulsory to upload ?
