Effect of non registration of warehouse

04 December 2010 I have warehouse outside my factory premise which I used to keep input goods [Warehouse is not at all used for storing finished goods removed from my factory].
Is it required to get warehouse register under excise laws?
What will be the implication if I do not get warehouse registered, if warehouse requires registration?

06 December 2010 As long as the inputs are duty free on which no cenvat is being taken, there is no issue. But if you plan to receive cenvat, how will the credit will be passed on from unregistered warehouse to factory?
