Hi friends pls solve my problem as early as possible.
Que. On every tax Edu. Cess is applicable then why On VAT, AND CST Edu. Cess is not applicabl.

Education cess is applicable on the taxes which are collected by Central Govt and leviable through Finance Act. VAT is state level tax and not leviable through Finance bill of central govt.

Central Govt is collecting Ed Cess Not the State Govt.
