05 April 2014 We are one Govt. college. Our tax against salary is deducted through Treasury Office.AO has filed 24G.After submission of 24G, we get the BIN NUMBER. On the basis of the BIN we are filling our e-tds return against our TAN.On verification it was found that tax amount is match with BIN. But now we get an intimation u/s 200A from TDS Trace that our entire tax payment was shown as short payment.
Kindly clearify the matter and inform how this default can be vacated.

05 April 2014 now can download justification report form trace.gov.in site
in that report you can easily trace out what error was made in filing.

08 April 2014 Justification report was downloaded and as per report there was short deduction only due to entire challan mismatch. As we are Govt. deductor TDS were deducted at treasury. We are filling TDS return on the basis of BIN received form TIN.On varification it was found that total tax payments were match with BIN on NSDL site. The earlier returns were also filed in the same manner, but no short deduction was detected. But only in F.Y 2013-14, this mismatch was found.
