26 September 2014 Hi all, pls help me. I am unable to do e-tds registration of a proprietorship firm. recently TAN issued this month. I have also call to coustomer care given at tin website. they told the following system requirements for such registration but after that I m unable to do the same. 1. use internet explorer 2. java version 1.6 update 29 3. administration login 4.dsc properlly installed 5.enable active x controls 6. usage of capital letters and avoidance of special characters. after using all the requirements I m getting an error message to change internet Explorer settings with an error message "signature is null". can u pls help how to register a newly alloted tan no. for etds facility. I am also unable to register on traces website too.

26 September 2014 the problem is with your explorer settings for using DSC and has nothing to do with your TAN.

with regards to traces registration, you need atleast one TDS challan against the TAN for registration.
