e-receipt not recived

Dear Sir/Madam,
I had e-filed return on 13th july and sent the acknowledgement on 28th july, but yet have not recived e-recipt of the same.
When I called the customer care centre at Banglore the guided me to Revise the return and e-file again as they recived the acknowledgement after the time limit that is 60 days.
As I thought that revised return is filed when there is some mistake in filing the return.
so, pls guide me out that is it right to revise the return for above matter or what else should I do?
