e filing of incometax

27 October 2008 I have a doubt

E filing of a company has been done without digital signature.

Requirement is that we have to file with Income tax with in 15 days

What happened is that our client forget to file with in 15 days. What is the remedy available.

Do we have to file a revised incometax return for the company

27 October 2008 E-filed non-digitally signed return is required to be submitted within 15 days of its upload.
In case you have forgotten to submit it within 15 days, in that case make a mannual return and submit it physically in complete set with the department with a plea that "since you failed to submit the e-filed return acknowledgement duly signed and stamped within due time, you are filing afresh return in original in manual form to avoid earlier void filing"

27 October 2008 Client forgot which means ITR V is with them. In that case file the ITR V with the department and the date on which it is manually handed over to the department
will be treated as the date of filing of the return.To my understanding there is no other option in the
Electronic filing of return scheme 2007
