E-filing of income tax returns

21 September 2011 Hi,

My IT Returns are filed with ITR-4 form by my auditor. My accounts are supposed to be tax audited for AY 2011-12. My Auditor has not given me the Auditor Report nor seems to have filed the Auditor Report with the e-filing.

The IT Returns Acknowledgement too does not contain the any auditor's name/No. His bill also does not mention the auditor's fees !

I want to know:

1) What is the standard process for filing returns for Tax Audit cases ?

2) If Auditor Report is not filed by 30th Sept, what is the repercussions?

21 September 2011 well returns are to b filled online
auditor report is not required to be submitted to Income tax these days
please confirm the replies with anyone, they are correct fir bhi

21 September 2011 Hi, I am not satisfied with the reply. Because, if the Auditor's report is not required to be filed along with the returns, then how will the IT dept will know, that the returns are tax audited ?

Can I have detailed answer for the question (1) and (2) above or a second opinion by another expert ? Thanks.

21 September 2011 TAR IS NOT TO BE FILED WITH THE RETURN THAT IS TRUE
BUT AS PER LAW IT IS UR DUTY TO OBTAIN A TAR FROM UR AUDITOR BEFORE 30.09.2011
