05 March 2011 Somebody has filed his/her e-return and gave its e-return acknowledgement no. to my boss...

My boss forgot about it and now he wants me to find the assessee's name and PAN with the help of that acknowledgement number...

I tried a lot but unable to find it. Can anybody please help me?

05 March 2011 if you filed e-return, there should be confirmation mail from income tax department to the mail id which you mentioned in the return, so search the mail in the mail ids you can get the e-filed acknowledgement copy (can be open through password:pan& dateof birth) , it contains the acknowledgment number also

05 March 2011 But i am having only acknowledgement number (not a copy of acknowledgement)...

05 March 2011 Only keeping acknowledgment number cant find pan and name of assesses..

If have pan number and dob then u can get copy from income tax site...
