01 February 2011 sir i want to e file a return of assessee. But i am not able to register him for that purpose as his PAN card is lost and he did not remember date of birth printed on it.
I want to know that how can i know the date of birth so that i can register him online and e file his return

02 February 2011 In case of old PAN, you can approach to the concerned ITO or CA or advocates of that area. They may have CD or list in 4GL which was prepared by the department in long back. Please try for this list also. If it would have been the matter of Rajasthan, I could have helped you.
