Yes e filling is compulsory for persons covered under tax audit.

While concurring with Gupta Ji ,for full details you may refer CBDT Notifications 181/2003 dated 25/7/2003 and 21 dated 27/07/2007.

Yes e filling is compulsory for persons covered under tax audit however affixing digital signature is compulsory only for all companies and optional for others.

For filing first year return of a company or partnership firm, is it possible to affix digital sign or hard copy to be sent to Banglore office.

For first year company return, digitally signing is possible if DSC is PAN based.
