DUPLICATE PAN CARD OF HUF

29 December 2007 Sir/ Madam,

There is one HUF having PAN Number issued. Now the karta has died. And there are three members (all females) in HUF:
WIFE
TWO FEMALE DAUGHTERS

As per law the HUF will continue be there as before the death and his wife will become Karta of this HUF.

Now the pan card of HUF has been lost.
My querry is that who will sign the form of Duplicate pan. And what proofs to be shown that the karta has been changed.

29 December 2007 If huf lost pan karta can apply for duplicate pan card and the huf will get same PAN No. so there is no problem.

You have to use Income Tax for No. 49B

In case PAN application is made on behalf of a HUF, documents in respect of Karta of the HUF will serve as proof of address.

It is mandatory for individuals and HUF to mention their residential address on the PAN application and to submit valid proof of the same.
nearest uti bank/nsdl/karvy consultants /any authorised uti or nsdl agent can receive and the application for lost pan and pan card will come direct to the addres stated in the application.
