22 July 2013 What is the due date of filling of service tax return? In case of Individual. Is there any amendment relating to service tax return?

22 July 2013 FOR MAKING SERVICE TAX PAYMENT DUE DATE IS :
for monthly payment of service tax it is 5th for manual and 6th till 8.00 pm for e-filling of next month.

similarly, for quarter it is 5/6 th of the next month of quarter ending.

FOR SERVICE TAX RETURN due date is :
for quarter oct- march =25th April.
for quarter apr-sep =25th october.

22 July 2013 Can you please differentiate which party liable to filling their return either quarterly or monthly? Is it any amendment relating to filling of service tax return?

23 July 2013 Above suggestion by expert was wrong and it is related to payment of service tax and not on service tax return filing due dates..

In general service tax returns are half yearly returns..

(i)due date for april to sep--25th october

(ii)due date for oct-march is -25th april

23 July 2013 Please note for this time as reverse charge introduced for this year only it was made quarterly..

Please note CBEC extends the last date of e-filing of Service Tax Return (ST 3) for the period October, 2012 to March, 2013 from 25th April to 31st August, 2013.

The return utility for this period is expected to be made available in ACES in July, 2013; the exact date of the availability will be announced later. For CBEC's Order No 3/2013-ServiceTax dated 23-4-2013,
