Due date extended of itr

28 June 2015 if my self assessment tax liability is less than Rs. 10,000/-
and due date of filing of ITR extended Till 31st august then whether i can pay self assessment tax before 31st august or before 31st July , i am not filing under TAX audit category.

28 June 2015 As per FNo. 225/154/2015, due date under Explanation 2(c) to the Section 139(1) has been extended and not due date for self assessment tax.

However, as per the Explanation 1 to the section 234A of the Income Tax Act, 1961, 'due date' means the date specified in sub-section (1) of section 139 as applicable in the case of the assessee.

Therefore, due date for payment of self assessment tax will be on or before 31st August, 2015 only.

please explain in simple words that whether i have to pay self assessment tax on or before 31st july or 31st august to skip section 234 A.
