Doubt regarding articleship date(urgent)

Hello sir,
I have wrote ipcc in nov.2013. i joined in a firm for articles in jan 2014 before result.i failed in this attempt.I am a graduate too.now my doubt is if i apply for conversion to direct entry in this feb,when will my articleship date commence from? Is it from jan 2013 or after getting a approval letter from icai for conversion? Kindly please inform me.

Ur articleship will commence after ur conversion 2 direct entry scheme & submission of Articleship Form.

Sir but i did franklin on articles form on 25th jan. Can i request my principal to agree for 25th jan as articles commencement date,though i have applied for conversion to direct entry yesterday

Look dear, Articleship is the phase which starts after Completing 1st grp of IPCC. But in Direct Entry u can commence it after ur registration to IPCC. Without registration u r treated as an outsider 2 CA Institute, Hence it is mandatory to register 1st in IPCC & after 2 Articleship.
If u hv registered yesterday then ur training will commence after 19th of Feb. 2014.
