Donation paid to WAQF board for grant of lease of land

13 December 2022 Hello everyone!
We have paid some amount in lacs to WAQF board for renewal of lease of land in our favour by cheque. WAQF board has also issued receipt for the same by mentioning the amount received on account of Donation. (about 80G Certificate / status of WAQF board not sure)

Please tell whether can this donation be claimed as deduction while computing income tax liability for the year.

13 December 2022 As per the receipt issued by WAQF board, assessee can claim the deduction u/s. 80G of the act, while filing ITR. (only under old regime).
CPC will allow the claim subject to certain conditions, which include...
Presently complete details of donee (the person to whom the donation is made) are required to be entered manually by the taxpayer (donor) . To make the process hassle-free, it proposed that donee’s information will be prefilled in the ITR .
The donee shall furnish the statement of all the donations received on the basis deduction under section 80G will be allowed to the doner.In case the donee fails to furnish such statement then penalty and fee shall be levied.
