Documents for allowing Interest of HP by employer

Do the employer need to verify the Occupancy Certificate/Municipalicy certificate of the House property for which the employee is claiming the Interest u/s 24.
Kindly also let me know the section of the Act /rules which states so.

Even if a bank gives provisional interest and principal certificate in the name of the employee and the address of the employee is also there in the same it would be sufficient compliance.
Additionally if u want to keep on record some additional proof then take a copy of maintainence bill of the employee. It would be more than enough though not compulsory.
