Dividend

This query is : Resolved

15 November 2013 why dividend cannot be declared more than proposed dividend in AGM?

15 November 2013 this so because the shareholders dont have any right to increase the dividend. The power to recommend dividend lies with the directors. shareholders can only approve or reduce the proposed amount.

16 November 2013 if a shareholder has more than 50% holding then what will happen

16 November 2013 Doesnt matter. Increase is not possible. Anyways, if someone has 50% shareholding, he or she can easily get the directors to recommend higher dividend

18 November 2013 i agree with Nikhil kaushik
