Distributon of gross salary into various heads

10 June 2013 Hi to all experts.. my query is i am working in a firm where there is no distribution or partition of gross salary and in this year some employees are coming under tax liability for the f.y 2013-14.

My query is if an employee gross salary is 318000/-

then what will be the basic salary,HRA, TA & DA and professional tax of 200 p.m has we don't have pf and esi so suggest an format or structure to minimize the tax liability of the employee

14 June 2013 Salary structure design is the option of the employer and employee.

Basic pay will be 30% to 40% on Gross salary
HRA -40% to 50% on basic

Transport allowance Rs.800

other allowances based on the tax exemption limit can be decided
