I wish to clarify the following
What is the maximum Limit of appointment of Directors for a Pvt Ltd & Public Ltd?
2.If Total No. of Directors Exceed 12 what are the formalities should be followed by a Pvt Ltd & Public Ltd?

17 February 2011 An individual can be appointed as director for end number of private limited companies.In case of public limited companies, an individual can be appointed as a director in maximum 15 public limited companies. Individual director has to vacate the office of directorship, if it exceeds the specified limit of 15 public limited companies.

If the number of directors of the company exceeds the maximum number of directors specified in the company's articles of association, the articles shall be altered by passing a special resolution to this effect. In case the number of directors exceeds 12, approval of the central government shall be obtained for increasing the number of directors by complying with the formalities in this regard.
