1. whether the default director can be appointed as director in any other private company.
2. whether after filling FTE, the director is still a default director

Its depend on category of default.
If such director is defaulted under section 274 then he can not appoint subject to that condition.
In other case you can appoint a person as director in other company.
If such director is defaulted under section 274 then he can not appoint subject to that condition.
