Dear Sir.,
I want to know how many directors minimum or maximum directors to be need for Private limited company & limited company.What is process of directors joining.

The 1956 Act prescribed minimum 2 directors for a private and 3 for a public company
respectively to constitute a Board. This criterion has been retained by the new Act, but the maximum limit of directors on the Board has now been raised from 12 to 15.
Resident Director can be appointed u/s 149(3) Company has to appoint at least one resident Director Whose physical at least 182 days in India.
Women Director: u/s 149(1)(a) appoint at least one women director if listed company or any public company having paid capital 100 crore or more or turnover of 300 crore or more
Independent Director:it is Introduced in New Companies Act.2013 u/s 149(6)
Additional Director:
Procedure of Director Joining:
1.Obtain Consent to act as Director in DIR-2 read with Rule 8
2.Intimation by Director in DIR-8 in terms of Company Rules 2014.
3. Disclosure of interest in Form MBP-1
Call Board meeting for Passing Necessary Board Resolution for Appointment of Director , Issue Letter of Appointment.
