Mr A has two din numbers . Now with the later din no the person has applied fo the new company , now what is the remedy available

A person should not have two din nos. One should be surrendered and where the surrendered number has been given in form 32 resubmit a new form. or New Din 3

I heard that DIN could not be surrenderd. The holder should move an application to deactivate the DIN which he/she do not require. Is my understanding correct.
