Actualy one of my client is having DIN but when i look for the directors name of that company on the MCA site, he was not shown as a director.....

DIN is required to be appointed as director of any company but there is no such qualification neede to take DIN.
If you become a director in a company then that is your identity number.
Suppose if you have DIn, you are appointed as director of the company and later on resign from the company then also DIN will always remain with you i. e. the number will still continue to remain with you. Also there is no procedure to surrender DIN.
