02 November 2011 No,it is not compulsory to file e-return with digital signature only since he has taken digital signature.Even though he files e- return digital signature is not mandatory.

02 November 2011 If assessee is getting audited under income tax act then it is compulsory to sign the return digitally, and its already compulsory for companies sign it digitally.
