A firm is covered u/s 44AB hence audit is compulsory. the issue is that digital signature should be obtained in the name of firm or in the name of partner............

Absolutely no. The return is supposed to be signed by the Mg. Partner of the firm. Therefore, digital signature should be taken in the name of the partner and not in the name of firm.
