Can any one explain me the difference between free panes and split in MS-Excel?
In my view both does the same function.

FREEZE PANE MEANS KEEP A PORTION OF SHEET (ROW/COLUMN ) IS VISIBLE WHILE THE REST OF SHEETS (ROWS/COLUMNS) ARE SCROLLED.
IT WORK LIKE FREEZE PANE BUT BY THIS YOU CAN SEE MUTIPLE DISTANT PART OF SHEET AT ONCE.
