21 April 2010 I am doctor. I have taken loan from bank for Eye Clinic and operation theatre and purchsed all Equipment.

My Query is Depriciation Rate for A.Y. 2010-11 for following.
1. Machinery
2. Equipment
3. Furniture and Fixture
4. Civil work for Renovation of clinic

21 April 2010 for machinery it is 15% but some life saving equipment has 40% rate but as you are eye sergaon then I don't think that will be relevant to you.
what is equipment plz specify if it is electrical equipment then 80%
furniture & fixture 10%
plz see civil work for renovation should be treated as expense. but if it capitalized as per rule then whether it is in building or furnitur. if in building then 10%.
