Depreciation on trade mark

hello freinds,one of my client has purchased trade Mark and he is saying he has purchased it for forever n he will not charge dep. on it ,whether under income tax it is manadatory to charge depreciation on it even if client has purchased it for forever.

yes, depreciation will provide as per income tax act.
