If an asset is purchased on instalment basis,from which date depreciation should be charged?

Depreciation will be charged on full amount from day it is capitalized. It doesn't matter whether it is purchased on cash basis or installment.

By installment as referred in your query, I understnad that the the assets has been financed and the title of the asset is passed on to the buyer on the date of purcahse. In this understaning my response to the query is inline with the response of Deepak.
