Dear Experts,
please guide me on the following issues:-
1) which account is opened first trading account or demat account ?
2) can i open my demat account with state bank of india and demat account with any of the broker like motilal oswal, angel broking etc.?

these days, the most preferred way to open an account is 3-in-1 accounts with bank, broking and trading account with same entity or entities with collaboration.
I would suggest that you pick institutions like HDFC Bank etc. and even if you want to pick Motilal oswal, they do have tie-up with SBI.
for your own benefit open the accounts together at one place.

you can open demat a/c and then trading a/c. for trading a/c you want client master of demat a/c.
it is best you open both a/c with single agency.
