27 October 2022 Hi, ITR was filled by clicking pay later and post submission immediately paid challan.. Received demand notice to pay tax. Mistakenly selected demand is correct and attached challan of tax paid. Now it is showing to pay tax along with interest. Raised grievance, they asked to file revised return if challan is reflecting in 26AS. tried to revise the return but even in return due to system error it is showing interest payable post paying complete tax within due dates. Please suggest

28 October 2022 It's a software problem others also facing such problems.
Raise grievances in the e filing portal.

28 October 2022 As per recent situation on the issue, unless you Jurisdiction ITO helps to resolve the issue, the interest would be chargeable from April to the date of filing revised return, The grievance is getting closed without any consideration.

28 October 2022 Thank you for ur response sir..I already raised grievance thrice but they are closing it by saying to file revised return or they are not responding..
So is there any other way bcz if again by oct 31st I won’t file revised return again interest will be added for one more month ..

28 October 2022 Better pay the interest demand raised during revised ITR, and enter the latest challan details in the Rev ITR; otherwise no other way; except any personal help from ITO.
