Defective return u/s 139 (9)

Dear Experts I have received notice u/s 139(9) stating that your return is defective due to not furnishing the Profit & Loss account and balance sheet. I filed my return for the A.Y.2014-15 where in I have salary Income as well as Professional Income. I have TDS Deduction around 1 lac. It is a refund case, earlier I have not claimed any refund. Now my return is defective my query is that shall I claim refund correcting the defective one. Please advise me Thanks in Advance.

yes you can claim the refund while filing return in response to 139(9) notice.
