27 July 2011 I had purchased a property (DDA Flat) on March 2011. can i get tax deduction for the stamp duty paid and registration charges as per section 80C

27 July 2011 Section 80C is not for the deduction of the stamp duty and registration charges paid for property. It is for the amount of housing loan repaid.

27 July 2011 Stamp Duty and Registration Charges for a home: The amount you pay as stamp duty when you buy a house, and the amount you pay for the registration of the documents of the house can be claimed as deduction under section 80C in the year of purchase of the house.
