01 June 2011 The institution to which such donation is made has to obtained Certificate for 80G , from the Commissioner of Income Tax.

If the programme is run under the flagship of 80G Registered Trust or Institution, and the donor has been issued a receipt for the donation , he can get deduction U/s 80G
