If the amount of Rs. 150000 has been deposited in PPF Account on 02.04.2016, can the same be claimed as deduction u/s 80C for A.Y. 2016-2017 (i.e for FY 2015-2016)?

NO.its valid for the year FY 2016-17. not for the year 2015-16 due to this on the basis of the payment.
