09 July 2013 Dear Sir,

I have taken a medical policy of my spouse an amount of Rs. 4150 for financial year 2012-2013.Shall I claim of Preventive health check up of Rs. 5000 for this financial year.Please tell me how much amount i have to deducted in my tax calculation under section 80D.

09 July 2013 Yes you can claim Rs.4150 for the medical insurance premium paid for the year fy-2012-13, preventive health check up can be claimed from fy-2012-13 onwards
