Deduction availability u/s 24 ag. loan taken for shop/commercial loan

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether interest paid on a loan for a shop or commercial property is eligible for deduction under Section 24 of the Income Tax Act. The consensus is that Section 24 deductions are generally only available for loans taken for residential house properties, not for commercial ones. However, if rental income from a shop is treated as 'house property income' rather than 'business income', then deductions under Section 24 might be permissible.
