17 December 2010 1. Form C is issued in case of inter-state purchase.

2. It is issued by the buyer.

3. No you cannot take credit on VAT.

17 December 2010 C form is to be issued by a buyer in order to avail reduced CST rate. The form is available from the ST Dept on submission of Request from the Supplier. you need to pay a nominal fee also. After issuing C Form you are required to file a consolidated C form issue statement to the Dept. The provisions differ state by state as per the local law.
