13 August 2013 Dear Experts

As you will be aware that the new companies bill has been passed by the Rajya Sabha and the entire Companies Act,1956 has been revamped, I want to know how this will affect the December 2013 exams.

The ICSI has not issued any notification regarding the applicability of the new companies bill for December 2013 exams.

Kindly inform how to start preparing for the December exams.

13 August 2013 It will not be applicable for Dec 2013 exams. Still presidents assent required after which it will be notified in the Official Gazzete.

13 August 2013 Does this mean that we only need to refer to the Companies Act 1956 without considering the changes made by the Companies Bill, 2012?

13 August 2013 Yes. Only refer the Companies Act 1956. Companies Bill not in force as yet.
