13 August 2013 X duly qualified cost auditor,consented to the company for his appointment as cost auditor,and accordingly,govt approval for his appointment was obtained. The cost auditor, later on,did not accept the offer.
Advise the company hoe to proceed in the matter.

This is a question for 6 marks and plz reply at the earliest.

13 August 2013 there is no valid appointment only as the appointment letter was not accepted by the qualified cost auditor.

co needs to intimate this fact to govt in prescibed form and within prescibed time.

13 August 2013 in this case company had already intimated the govt dept before acceptance of appointment by cost auditor which itself is not correct as first the acceptance of such cost auditor needs to be obtained then only there is appointment and then only further action co as per co act can be taken.
