28 December 2010 I have COP for last 3 yrs but during that time i was not working anywhere due to some family problem now i m working in a ca partnership firm and planning for becoming partner in firm .My question is that as i have not fulfill the requirement of CPE hours, is there will be any problem on my COP.Now how to complete this CPE hours or how to register for it

28 December 2010 In my opinion, you will not be having any trouble in holding/continue to hold your COP. But in case of empanelments , as per ICAI, your presence in the firm will not be considered and you will be required to compensate the shortage at twice/thrice the shortage hours. The matter is in consideration with the ICAI. They have announced that they shall publish the details regarding the same in Jan 2011.

Now since the date has been extended till Jan 2011, it is possible that you can complete your CPE Requirements.

28 December 2010 1) Last date for complying with the requirements of CPE hours credit has been extended from 31st December, 2010 to 31st March, 2011. A chance to members like you to comply with the requirements.
2) Try unstructed learning through which members can earn maximum 10 CPE hours per annum. Take this option to comply with the, at least, minimum requirements.
