20 February 2010 I would like toknow what is the basis for passing a resolution by cotes or poll ?

Is 1 share holder = 1 vote or
10share = 10vote

Please clarify the basis of counting the votes in case passing resolutions.

Its very very very urgent.

20 February 2010 Normally one shareholder is equal to 1 vote.

But when poll is taken the situation is different. In poll value is counted.

For example if you are holding 80% share capital.

Then in Normal voting your only 1 vote counted as one shareholder is equal to 1 vote.

But when poll is taken the situation is different and your vote is most imp. If you vote against the resolution then such resolution can not be passed.

Regards
