Correction to returns for ay 2007-08

12 June 2015 I want to make correction to my Income tax return for AY 2007-08 for which I have received a 143 demand order. I am a salaried person and by mistake I filled incorrect returns, never looked at the demand order. now want to rectify the return for AY 2007-08. Please advise if it is doable. Thanks

13 June 2015 it is doable. But you will have to meet the AO in person and submit request for rectification alongwith request for condonation in delay for filing rectification. Only where condonation is permitted, the corrections in the return can be made now
