Correction of wrongly quoted pan in it return

03 December 2011 Dear Sir,
I have filed the IT return for AY 07-08 but in that the PAN number was wrongly quoted.I have not yet received any intimation or letter or notice about this.I came to know about this when I applied for my tax refund.Whats the procedure of correction of that wrongly quoted PAN
Please guide me about this matter

03 December 2011 You have to just write a letter to the jurisdictional ITO narrating the facts.
As your intentions were clear, and such mistakes generally occur while writing the typical alpha-numeric characters, the ITO will certainly handle your application positively and can grant you the refund due.
