Correction in pan card of huf.

23 July 2014 Dear Sir,

My father is having HUF, which was created 7-8 years ago, & we are filling Income Tax Returns regularly on the same pan number.

Now we want to make correction of address in pan card.

As pan card is so old or due to any mistake at the time of filling form for the same,it dose not contain DATE OF INCORPORATION.

In the pan card on the same place it written as "ANCESTRAL".

Now i am going to prepare new HUF deed for correction of pan card.

My question is:
1, what to do to correct the date of incorporation??
2, whether it will affect that DATE OF HUF DEED & DATE OF INCORPORATION OF HUF are different??

pls do the needfull.

its urgent.

23 July 2014 ya but they are demanding huf deed..

and if i am going to prepare the same then i have to make it notarised and it will not be possible in back date..

then what about the date of deed ??

and if date of deed is recent and date of incorporation is old which 01/01/0001 i.e. by default taken by department..

and if i am taking the recent date for incorporation then what abt the returns that have been earlier filed??

23 July 2014 then u can ask ur lawyer to have a stamp paper of back dated and make an huf of the same date as the date of incorporation.

26 July 2014 would he hard to find an eight year old stamp paper!

the correct approach should be to check with the AO for your old files. it should have the copies of original documents regarding constitution of HUF. use those documents for correction in PAN.
