Conversion of proprietorship to partnership

12 July 2013 I am practising as a Chartered Accountant under my proprietorship firm name from 2011. But now I want to convert my proprietorship to a partnership firm admitting my friend as a partner. Wheteher it can be done without surrendering the existing name and registration or have to form a new firm? What will be the effect on the seniority of the firm in respect to bank audits and other audits?

13 July 2013 no need to surrender the name, just make the changes to enter the partner and file neccesary forms with the regional council.. contact the concerned regional council fore more detailed procedure
