Conversion of preference shares

Dear All,
At the time issuance of preference shares, it was stated that the preference shares will be converted into equity shares in the ratio 5:1 after the expiry of preference share.
Noting was mentioned whether the conversion will be made on face value or face value of shares. Now we have to convert the same. Kindly suggest on which value we should convert
