Confusion about section 80 c

12 May 2012 please help me out with the information about which i am confused

in relation to salaried person he get rs-100000 deduction under section 80 c

but when he paid amount for health insurance under section 80 d , donation's under section 80 g

is thease deduction is admmissible in extra i mean 80c's 100000+80d 15000+80g 5000

so the total deduction is rs-120000 or he will get only deduction of rs-100000 including thease all

please explain me the concept

12 May 2012 Deduction u/s 80D and 80G are OVER AND ABOVE the deduction u/s 80C.

They are NOT within the limit of Rs. 1 lakh.

However, in respect of donation, deduction is allowed only for 50% of the amount of donation.

12 May 2012 Dear Rs. 100000 limit is only for 80C however in totality deduction under chapter VI-A the can go upto gross total income.....
